Special Inspections

Dennis Corporation is experienced and certified to perform Chapter 1 and Chapter 17 Special Inspections. Our Special Inspections Division has worked on a variety of educational, governmental, commercial and residential projects. Dennis Corporation’s staff is certified to perform inspections in accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), International Code Council’s (ICC) International Codes (I-Codes), Office of School Facilities (OSF), Office of State Engineer (OSE), American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Welding Society (AWS), American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNDT), South Carolina Labor, License and Regulation Board (SCLLR), South Carolina Department of  Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC), and South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT).

Our scope of services cover the inspections of additions and renovations to existing buildings, as well as new construction projects.  Dennis Corporation inspectors are knowledgeable with the interpretation of plans and specs. Our inspectors are not only technically trained, but also have the on-site and practical experience through working on all levels of testing and inspections. Our inspectors are familiar with the communication necessary between the owner, contractor and inspections team during all stages of the project.

Building Inspections

Dennis Corporation’s experienced staff believe that quality work is the key to a project’s success. Our inspectors have accumulated over 200 years of construction and inspection experience. Not only are our inspectors technically trained, but also have the on-site and practical experience through working on all levels of testing and inspections. Dennis Corporation’s inspectors know that communication is necessary between the owner, contractor and inspections team during all stages of the project, thus foreseeing potential problems and enabling a quality project.

Dennis Corporation’s inspection staff is certified by the Office of School Facilities (OSF) to perform Chapter 1 and Chapter 17 inspections as well as the Office of State Engineer (OSE). We are a member of the International Code Council (ICC) and are experienced with their International Building Codes (IBC), Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes. Dennis Corporation’s inspectors are approved by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation as a certified Residential Builder and Home Inspector. We also employ certified Building Inspectors who provide code enforcement. Adding to our capabilities are our in-house engineers that can provide in depth structural analysis if needed. Our staff works with home owners and buyers, real estate agents, business owners, site developers, manufacturers and suppliers to make sure their projects are efficient and economical for their needs. our scope of services cover the inspections of each type of project listed:
